Stockdorf/Munich, Germany-based Webasto Group brings its many years of experience in recreational vehicles to the travel trailer market. 
Seventeen models of the new Trigano Caravelair and Sterckeman XL Freeze Caravans are equipped with a customized compressor refrigerator made by Isotherm, according to a company news release.
The products are not only very efficient but also quiet.
Another feature that is very practical in everyday use is the drawer mechanism, which is being used for the first time in a travel trailer refrigerator.
“It was our goal to introduce a technology that was established in household appliances to the travel trailer market,” said Denis Merle, Director of the Recreational Vehicle and Marine market segments of Webasto Thermo & Comfort SE.
“Due to its high efficiency, for example, 80 percent of all 5-star hotels use the DC compressor technology in their mini-bar refrigerators. With Trigano VDL as a strong partner at our side, we have developed an excellent custom-made solution based on compressor technology. We are confident that the Isotherm products will generate great interest and that we can create increased demand with our complete solutions.”
Technical details of the Isotherm XL Freeze refrigerator
The Isotherm XL Freeze refrigerator is particularly characterized by its high efficiency. Even at outside temperatures of up to 109° F (43° C), the device reliably cools food and beverages with minimal energy consumption (energy efficiency class A+).
Especially during the summer months in southern Europe and the United States, food and beverages need to be cooled more. Conventional absorption refrigerators reach their limits at temperatures exceeding 90° F (32° C).
Due to the high cooling performance of the XL Freeze compressor refrigerators, food can be cooled in the travel trailer shortly after turning on the device. This makes long pre-cooling times unnecessary. The XL Freeze refrigerator runs with 12 V.
Ergonomics, low space requirements and easy operation
Isothermal XL Freeze Caravans products are custom-made solutions that are designed according to the needs and desires of Trigano VDL (Caravelair and Sterckeman).
The refrigerators are equipped with a robust, high-quality drawer mechanism. Therefore, the user can quickly and easily retrieve food and beverages from above.
The refrigerator has a holder for up to three bottles, an air-tight container for vegetables, a drawer, as well as various shelves and gratings. The height and width of the shelves can be adjusted. A row of blue LEDs provides the lighting inside the Isotherm refrigerator, which has a volume of 150 liters, thus providing plenty of space.
In addition, a freezer with 19.5 liters is integrated; this also has the handy drawer mechanism.
