Winegard Company will showcase the Rayzar at the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) National RV Trade Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, December 2-4.

The Rayzar Automatic, Winegard’s next generation in digital and HD broadcast TV antennas, is a fully automatic HD TV antenna that quickly scans for all available local broadcast channels, according to a company news release.

This antenna is for RV enthusiasts who want to enjoy programming as well as local news and weather.

This fully automatic enhanced dual band antenna features state-of-the-art technology to provide the most user friendly and comprehensive free HDTV viewing experience on the market.

No manual aiming or cranking. Fully automatic, simple operation. Manual tuning over-ride option also available to reposition antenna when looking for a specific channel broadcast from an alternate location that was not found during initial search

The Rayzar Automatic external hardware searches for live, local signals, while an LED wall plate inside the RV illuminates all locations where TV signals are available. The antenna positions itself automatically to ensure maximum channel availability. However, there is a manual override option that allows the user to look for a specific broadcast channel.

The dual band antenna boasts state-of-the-art technology ensuring “effortless usability and an optimal viewing experience,” the company said.

Combined with Winegard’s state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology, the Rayzar Automatic’s ultra-low noise amplifier provides optimal signal strength for better picture quality with little-to-no pixilation or picture loss.

The Rayzar Automatic pulls in both VHF and UHF channels.

The Rayzar Automatic is designed and manufactured at the company’s Burlington, Iowa, manufacturing facilities.

The modern-looking Rayzar Automatic measures only 15 1/2 inches in diameter by 7 inches high, weighs a light 4 1/2 pounds, and is easy to install with a simple coax hookup. There is no need to drill a hole in the roof for a crank handle.

A sleek, low-profile dome houses the technology, protecting the hardware from shock, vibration, high humidity, and extreme temperatures.

The U.S. patent-pending Rayzar Automatic comes in black or white for $399 at Camping World Super Centers and RV dealers nationwide. It is expected to begin shipping mid-December.

Winegard Introduces Rayzar Air Amplified HD TV Antenna

Burlington, Iowa-based Winegard is once again revolutionizing the over-the-air television reception market with the Rayzar Air Amplified HD TV Antenna.

This sleek and powerful multidirectional antenna provides front and back reception for maximum channel coverage in common situations where the broadcast towers are geographically spread apart, thus requiring minimal aiming to tune in channels.

Optimized for North American digital TV frequencies (high-band VHF and UHF) the Rayzar Air is designed to eliminate interference from other non-TV frequencies (like radio) to maximize signal reception.

With near Blu-Ray quality HD and no monthly programming fees, users can enjoy live regional programming such as news, weather, and sports anywhere in the U.S. from major broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, and more).

“We are excited about this next generation of antenna,” said National Sales Manager Aaron Engberg, in a news release.

“With the Sensar being on the majority of RVs, it was important for us to design an antenna that could be easily retrofitted to the Sensar or other antennas that attach to the Sensar boom. The Rayzar Air retrofit antenna allows RVers to easily update their antenna and double their coverage in just minutes for around $50.”

“The Rayzar Air’s sleek design allows for easy travel when stowed. The 4.4 inch stow height for maximum aerodynamic functionality, takes the worry out of driving under low clearances, yet extends to 16 inches when deployed. The boom and lift assembly raise the antenna above most surrounding obstacles for superior look angle and signal capture,” added Engberg.

“Its durable housing materials protect against UV rays and inclement weather and it has been rigorously tested for use in typical RV conditions with wind tunnel and shock/vibration testing.”

Rayzar models include:

Retrofit antenna with boom (quick upgrade option)

Amplified antenna with 16-inch boom for installation to Sensar lift and mount

RVRZ25W (white), RVRZ25B (black) – MSRP: $49.99

Complete antenna with lift and mount

Amplified antenna with 16-inch boom and assembly

12-volt DC power supply

20-foot 75 ohm coax cable and 6-foot 75 ohm coax cable

RVRZ39W (white), RVRZ39B (black) – MSRP: $129.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, the Rayzar Air is backed by a limited warranty which covers parts for 2 years and labor for 1 year, and complimentary telephone and email support.

The Pathway X2 delivers a true HDTV viewing experience for mobile or outdoor activities such as RVing, tailgating, and camping, according to a news release.

The new Pathway Antenna is available through Camping World Inc. and RV dealerships nationwide.

“The Pathway X2 represents the next generation of automatic portable satellite TV antennas for DISH customers on the go,” said Marcel Guajardo, lead product manager for Dish Network’s RV and mobile platforms.

“Its portable design and easy setup gives our customers an affordable and flexible way to receive and watch high-definition TV even in remote areas.”

Designed with a larger reflector to optimize signal strength, the Pathway X2 has the ability to access “Eastern Arc” locals in HD, a feature other portables aren’t always capable of offering, according to Winegard.

Winegard Introduce RAYZAR Amped HDTV Antenna

Burlington, Iowa-based Winegard Company announces its introduction of the RAYZAR Amplified Portable Indoor HD antenna.

rayzar-amplified-antennaThis innovative, new amplified version of the RAYZAR over-the-air antenna is ideal for camping, recreational vehicles, and over-the-road trucking, as well as other outdoor activities including boating, tailgating, and more. It can receive local broadcast channels from up to 50 miles away and requires no assembly or permanent installation, according to a news release.

With the RAYZAR Amped, consumers can get all the top-rated broadcast TV shows for free anywhere in the US. The high definition, near Blu-ray quality picture is the best currently available.

This razor-thin multi-directional amplified antenna is the most advanced dual band (VHF/UHF) consumer antenna on the market today, states the release. It weighs in at just over two ounces, is .002 inches thick, measures just 12 inches by 13 inches and receives all local HD broadcast signals.

“We’ve designed the RAYZAR Amped as a razor-thin, flexible, and feather light broadcast antenna that is a powerhouse at delivering free TV for those who enjoy the mobile lifestyle,” said Winegard National Sales Manager Aaron Engberg.

“The Amped is one of very few indoor dual band antennas on the market, which means consumers don’t have to worry about missing out on a major network that other UHF indoor antennas may experience. Designed with our revolutionary Clear Circuit Technology, the embedded amplifier is able to amplify 100 percent of the signal at the element to maximize channel reception and minimize pixilation and dropouts for the best viewing experience possible.”

RAYZAR 2That amplifier technology translates to crystal clear HDTV channel reception in a crowded signal environment with no dropping of signals. Since the amplifier is positioned closer to the antenna structure, the TV signal is effectively maximized, something Winegard founder John Winegard developed nearly 60 years ago, states the release.

The RAYZAR Amped picks up free TV from all the major local broadcast networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and PBS, plus additional networks like Qubo, ION, The CW, Universal Sports, and more, including local and regional weather and sports that paid programming may not provide.

The antenna is black on one side and white on the other to match any décor, and is easy to set up. Simply connect the coaxial cable to your digital HDTV, position the antenna wherever signal is strongest, plug in the USB power cable with 110V or 12V adapter, and run a channel scan.

All RAYZAR HDTV antennas are made in the USA and are available at most RV dealerships and atWinegard.com (see link below).
