This five star paradise also provides its guests and owners with the finest in outdoor attractions, fine dining, upscale shopping, and world-class entertainment.

Nestled less than a mile from Interstate 95 and less than five miles away from St. Augustine, The Fountains of St. Augustine is a marvel unto itself that will open a world of possibilities for its owners and guests from all over the country, according to a news release.

Right up the road are white sand beaches, deep sea fishing, and every other water sport you can fathom.

The Fountains offer a culturally rich or just-for-fun experience in the oldest permanently settled city in the United States with local boutique shopping and regional outlet malls and even a Camping World RV Center within miles of the resort

The Fountains Premier Motorcoach Resort of St. Augustine, the first of what is planned as a series of “The Fountains” resorts across the U.S., has drawn a lot of interest, according to the company.

The Fountains’ website has received more than 9,000 unique visitors over the past two months. After the resort’s appearance at the Hershey RV Show and the Tampa RV SuperShow, interest and requests for information have totaled in the thousands.

In addition to 9,000 unique visitors to the website, The Fountains’ animated tour of the property’s amenities and grounds received almost 7,000 views from interested RVers

The Fountains’ prime location, five-star atmosphere, and its premium Class A membership and ownership opportunities may transform the upper end of the RV-park industry, the people behind it hope.

The Fountains has two new concepts that will soon be rolled out, called The Fountainshare and The Fountains Advantage Programs.

The resort owners believe the concepts promise to maximize resort accessibility and experience with unsurpassed amenities, services and benefits at The Fountains resort properties and at a variety of other affiliated resorts.

Ameri Motorcoach Resorts, Inc., the supervising company for The Fountains, will be introducing these programs through the newly formed Ameri Motorcoach Association or “AMCA.”

Based upon extensive market research and interviews with Class A motorcoach owners, AMCA believes The Fountainshare and The Fountains Advantage Programs are truly unique by allowing people to enjoy year-round access to this resort.

“As we move forward with The Fountains groundbreaking and construction, we are working diligently to keep interested RVers informed of our development plans and our beautiful, one-of-a-kind resort,” said Tommy Hammond, president of Ameri Motorcoach Resorts Inc.

“We truly believe that our resort and concept for the Fountains will attract RVers from all over the country to experience a new level of luxury RVing.”

Tampa SuperShow RV Resort Participation & Kidd-Eyster Fuel Survey

Tallahassee, Florida-based Kidd RV Resort Consulting, an integrated marketing firm specializing in the RV industry, reports on RV resort participation at the recent Tampa RV SuperShow and the Kidd-Eyster annual motorcoach resort fuel survey gathered at the show.

RV Resort Participation

2013 Tampa RV SuperShow
2013 Tampa RV SuperShow

RV resort participation remained flat at the recent Tampa RV SuperShow.

Twenty-five resorts were represented this year, the same as last year, but down from 53 during 2011. The 25 resorts represented 10 no-shows from the previous year, replaced by 10 new resorts to the show this year.

According to self reports, sales and interest at RV resorts represented at the show have been strong year over year.

“The resorts that we are associated with, such as Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort, Sunnybrook RV Resort, Hearthside Grove Motorcoach Resort, and Heritage Motor Coach Resort, enjoyed double-digit sales this past year, which we find very encouraging,” says Jerry Kidd, president of Kidd RV Consulting in a news release.

“The 10 new resorts represented at the 2013 Tampa RV SuperShow are at lower price points than the more luxurious resorts that didn’t attend this year, such as Heritage and Marina in Orange Beach, Alabama. In fact, Heritage did not attend the show this year due to selling out most of their lots prior to the start of 2013.”

Kidd-Eyster Fuel Survey

Regarding the Kidd-Eyster annual motorcoach resort fuel survey gathered at the show, this year’s results demonstrated that RVers’ driving habits were unchanged during 2012. Sentiments have remained the same with respondents indicating that if fuel prices continue to decline, more than 70 percent of RVers would increase their travel plans or behaviors.

“As in 2012, the majority of RVers responded that they would travel until fuel prices reach $8/gallon which is looking like it’s a long way off. Fuel prices are continuing to head down, and RVers are beginning to feel more positive, indicating RVers will be getting out on the road even more in the year to come,” Kidd said.

Lake Havasu Motorcoach Resort Approved

Mohave County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a zoning use permit for a 107-space, 84-acre luxury motorcoach resort project at The Refuge Golf & Country Club in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

The measure allows The Refuge golf course owners, longtime Havasu residents Jerry and Cindy Aldridge, to move ahead on construction of a project they first envisioned and presented to the county in 2009.

Nestled on the banks of Lake Havasu the Motorcoach Resort at the Refuge Golf & Country Club sits on 170 acres on the north-end of Lake Havasu City adjacent to Havasu National Wildlife Refuge.

Featuring an 18-hole golf course, The Refuge Luxury Motorcoach Resort, is a $17 million development. With only 107 sites, the resort design maintains the elegant, country club feel Refuge members have always prized, according to a news release.

The Aldridges have previously completed the 18-hole golf course, negative-edge resort pool, fitness center, Pilates/Yoga room, state-of-the-art pro shop, a 300-seat event pavilion, spa treatment rooms, and Clubhouse restaurant, lounge, and piano bar that hums both day and night.

On the social side, The Refuge offers wine tastings, live music and entertainment, crafts, karaoke, game nights, member events, golf tournaments, and clinics, tours of the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, dances, and casino tours.

“I founded Coach Net Roadside Assistance in one of the most beautiful resort destinations in the Southwest, Jerry Aldridge said in a news release.

“Now, Cindy and I are taking our award-winning customer service skills to a new level with a luxury RV destination unrivaled in the resort industry.”

The Refuge Golf and Country Club

The Motorcoach Resort is scheduled for completion in October.

Motorcoach owners who enjoy golf and the country club lifestyle are invited to come now to tour the facility, play a round of golf using our Member-for-a-Day package, and preview the Club’s amenities. Onsite, overnight parking is available.

The Refuge Golf and Country Club is easily accessible, situated along the Colorado River and Lake Havasu.

The property is located between I-10 and I-40 off Highway 95 in western Arizona, just 30 miles from the California border.

During the county supervisors’ general meeting in Kingman, five proponents of the project addressed the supervisors, and 11 people spoke in opposition of the project, Today’s News-Herald reported.

Those in favor cited reasons of business growth, increased property valuations, and golf course property improvements.

Those opposed cited reasons of decreased property valuations, a down-sized golf course with no ties to Arnold Palmer’s original design, and increased traffic, noise, and crime.

Also during the meeting, Nick Hont, director of county development services, said the flood plain has recently been recalculated with updated technology showing the area of the RV spaces could be removed from the flood plain.

The findings currently are being submitted to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for review. The current flood plain is thought to manage a 100-year flood storm event, but new calculations show it’s more relevant for a 500-year flood storm event.

Hont also said the property’s original U.S. Army Corps of Engineers drainage study from 2002 is still valid since no grading or topography of the property has been changed.

Home to the world famous London Bridge, Lake Havasu is a paradise for water lovers and desert lovers alike. The crystal clear water and sunny skies of Lake Havasu offer the perfect environment year around.

With 400 miles of stunning shoreline, more than 300 sunny days a year, and so many things to see and do, Lake Havasu is an all-season resort.

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge

From desert bighorn sheep to the endangered southwestern willow flycatcher, birds and other animals at Havasu National Wildlife Refuge rely on the life-giving waters of the lower Colorado River. The Havasu National Wildlife Refuge protects 30 river miles—300 miles of shoreline—from Needles, California, to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. One of the last remaining natural stretches of the lower Colorado River flows through the 20-mile-long Topock Gorge. A great river in a dry, hot land attracts wildlife and people like a powerful magnet.

Desert Fever is caused by the spectacular natural beauty and serenity of the area.

Early symptoms include a burning desire to make plans for the next trip “south”.
