Lancaster, California-based Lance Campers announces enhancements to its 2018 truck camper and travel trailer lines.
“2017 has been a record-breaking year for Lance and we do not intend to rest on our laurels,” said Bob Rogers, director of marketing.
“With an incredible list of key product enhancements for the travel trailer line up, we look forward to building on the success.”
“Lance continues to refine our segment leading truck camper line up,” said Gary Conley, national sales manager.
“Revising every model we offer to accommodate the new Ford truck bed configurations so that inordinate amounts of lift or spacing are not required was a herculean task by Randy Hunter’s Research & Development Team.”
In addition to the design modifications needed for proper Ford fitment, Lance added the latest technology “flat-bottom” microwave that eliminates the old-school turntable type microwave. They also added the “Keyed-Alike System” which provides a single key solution for both the entry door and storage compartment doors.
Additionally, most models were also given strategically placed steps to make access to the cab-over area easier.
With a total of nine hard wall models ranging from the half ton designed 650 to the ever popular short bed single slide 855S to the flagship double slide 1172, Lance Truck Campers continue to offer high quality, innovative and lightweight hard wall truck campers.
Designed specifically for half-ton pickup trucks with 5-foot and 6-foot beds, the all new 650 is a high quality full featured lightweight truck camper built for the active lifestyle.
With a wet weight with standard equipment of 1,896 pounds which includes standard features like aluminum frame construction, radius acrylic tinted thermopane euro windows, tankless water heater, ducted heat, one piece TPO roof, bluetooth/app enabled audio system, lite-ply framed cabinets, and available features including power awning, keyless entry, A/C, and microwave, the all new 650 is the perfect match for today’s popular half-ton pickup trucks.
If you’re looking for a little more room in a short bed camper, then the 855S is made for you.
The slideout allows for a facing bench dinette that easily accommodate four people while converting into a bed that sleeps two.
The 855S shares all the features of its bigger brothers including LED lighting, aerodynamic nose cap, and more. If you’re looking for a slide-out in a short bed truck, the 855S is your camper.
The new double slide 1172 features giant windows and skylights that bathe the interior making it light and airy. There’s the “Super Slide” dinette opposite the dry bath and a galley with flip-up counter extensions at both ends.
The big news comes as the rear wall slides out with a sofa incliner for your relaxation. With both slides open the space is cavernous.
Meanwhile, in the travel trailer segment, key standard and optional product changes for 2018 include an all-new look for the 1475 and 1575 ultra-lights, all-new standard exterior graphics, standard Euro overhead cabinet design, standard Euro thermopane windows, standard large “Lance Sky View” Euro, Thermopane tinted opening front window, and standard new aluminum wheels with color.
With large windows and skylights in the living and bath areas, the 1575 trailer feels much larger than other trailers of similar size.
With redesigned decors including glazed cabinet doors, stunning counters, and table tops, the 1575 also features a dry bath and very comfortable sleeping for four, all standard.
New enhancements on all models (standard) include U.S. manufactured Goodyear radial tires, Keyed Alike system, entry step well lighting, large foot pads on stabilizer jacks, “Solar On The Side” pre-wire receptacle, and flat-bottom microwave (no turntable).
Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.
