Along with the introduction of its new 2018 model year lineup, Topeka, Indiana-based Starcraft RV, a division of Jayco, has rolled-out a bold new look for the brand which includes several product enhancements, a refreshed logo, and a new responsive website.
The site features exciting upgrades, and has been designed to automatically optimize across all user devices including desktops, smartphones, and tablets, according to a company news release.
“The new website epitomizes the new Starcraft brand while acknowledging our strong heritage. It is fresh, modern, and fits exactly what our tag line states: Camping. Pure and Simple,” said Marc Hauser, vice president of sales and product development for Jayco towable divisions.
Using responsive design, Starcraft’s website will automatically detect a user’s viewing device, screen size, and device orientation; the site then seamlessly adjusts for optimal viewing, minimizing the amount of resizing, panning, and scrolling needed to view information.
“Our Starcraft Team has been focusing on getting the product dialed-in to what today’s retail customer wants in an RV, and now has followed it up with our completely re-designed website and rebranded social media channels to really drive the Starcraft story to the dealers and RV consumer,” Hauser said.
“The entire team believes that the Starcraft story is very powerful but needed to be communicated more effectively through these channels and we feel that these new changes will accomplish just that.”
The redesign of www.StarcraftCamping.com was focused on not only portraying Starcraft’s refreshed branding, but also improving the mobile shopping experience and users’ overall experience on the site and with the brand, said Hauser.
The new site includes a host of interactive tools, such as:
- Enlarged floor plans and photos for optimal viewing and option to print
- Extensive standards and options for each model
- Quick and easy to navigate Dealer Locator360 degree interactive tours of each model
“Starcraft’s roots go back more than 100 years, with over 50 years in the RV industry. While our focus has always been on exceptional craftsmanship and leading-edge innovation, a product re-focus and a brand refresh were necessary,” Hauser explained.
“Today’s consumers rely heavily on the internet to make their buying decisions and our new website delivers the relevant information in an efficient manner.
“It not only showcases our products, but highlights the powerful Starcraft story exceptionally well,” he added.
“Our marketing team did an outstanding job pulling all of the information together and getting this launched extremely quickly.”
The website will continue to evolve over time, with enhancements such as a build-and-price function, model selector, and video content.
One of the most exciting product changes for Starcraft in its 2018 model lineup is the Autumn Ridge (see image above) and Launch Ultra-Lite Outfitter series (see image above) which aims to target camping pure and simple, offering campers what they want in an RV, including many of the basic amenities that most competitors list as optional, according to the release.
In addition to the Outfitter product offerings, Starcraft’s 2018 lineup includes the Comet Mini travel trailer, Launch Ultra-Lite travel trailer, Autumn Ridge travel trailer as well as the Solstice fifth wheel.
“We’ve already received very positive feedback from our dealers on the 2018 improvements and we believe our products are in line with market demands and are competitively priced,” said Jeff Kloska, Starcraft’s general manager.
“We are ready to seriously compete in the marketplace and feel confident our new brands and streamlined product offerings will be a huge hit with both the dealer and retail consumer.”
