Howe, Indiana-based Cruiser RV recently introduced its all-new 2016 lineup of towable RVs.
Responding to heightened demand in the laminated travel trailer market, Cruiser RV has repositioned and expanded its lineup of towables to target this growing segment of the marketplace.
“The laminated trailer sector has seen a significant spike in sales over the last several years,” said Cruiser RV vice president Jeff Fought in a news release.
“We have listened to our dealer body and are growing our presence in this very key sector, bringing in all-new product that will be introduced during the September RV Open House.”
Cruiser RV has extended its popular Shadow Cruiser line and the newly formed MPG brand with new floor plans and attractive feature packages, bringing additional value to the lightweight, price-conscious entry point into the laminated sector.
In addition, the Radiance and Fun Finder travel trailer lines have been redesigned while also sharpening price points to target the “sweet spot” of the mid-priced laminated travel trailer market.
“Residential features and higher-end options are really important to the retail customer in the mid-priced trailer segment,” said Fought.
“We are not only offering amenities that consumers are looking for, but hitting price points that provide a salable stepping point for our dealers.”
Cruiser RV will also be looking to gain more market share in the laminated toy hauler market, which continues to gain ground with consumers.
“Our entry-level Stryker brand has seen tremendous response from consumers over the last year,” said Jay Mohamed, vice president of sales.
“We will be introducing several new floor plans and features at the upcoming Open House that we feel will continue to build sales for our dealer body.”
Mohamed reported that the company will be debuting a new toy hauler fifth-wheel targeting the Deep South and Western markets during Open House.
“As we focus on quality and introducing innovative floor plans, we will also be looking to advance our distribution to other areas of the country,” said Mohamed.
Cruiser RV, which was acquired by Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary Heartland Recreational Vehicles on January 5, is also stepping up its emphasis on customer service.
“Quality and service are sometimes items that smaller companies overlook or choose not to spend money on,” said Chris Hermon, president of Elkhart, Indiana-based Heartland RV.
“My focus since Cruiser RV’s acquisition has been on getting these areas of their business to exceed the standards we expect and, most importantly, what our dealers expect.
“I am very excited with the great effort we have shown in this area since we made this purchase just over six months ago and am excited about the huge upside that Cruiser RV has both out of our Indiana facility and down the road at the Cruiser RV facility out west.”
