A new RV park has opened in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas.

Laguna Vista RV Park is a family-owned and operated facility located on part of a small cow/farm business.

At this time of year, visitors can see the playful new spring calves, with their mothers keeping a watchful eye on them.

“The RV Park is open all year around because the winter weather in East Texas is mild. I have plenty of room,” William Gifford, owner of the RV park told me in an interview.

“Campers with small amount livestock (2 to 4 horses) are welcome, as I have fenced in pasture, water, and corral available.”

East Texas has a lot to offer with three lakes 20 to 40 minutes from the site — Lake of the Pines, Caddo Lake, and Perki Lake.

The Shreveport and Bossier City Louisiana Casinos are 45 minutes away. Marshall Pottery and a spring festival and fall festival, with all types of family activities, offers additional family fun. Around Christmas time, there is the famous Wonderland of Lights.

On the second Saturday of every month, starting in spring, there is a classic antique cars show.

“All this activity brings people in to the area in a steady basis,” said William Gifford, the owner of the park.

The park offers 40 full-service sites, with 20 roomy pull-through sites that offer room for a truck, RV, and boat. There are 20 additional spots overlooking a beautiful new pond.

The park is in a country setting, with picnic area, fire pits, and all gravel sites and driveways. The owners live on the farm and are close by to assist in any needs, said William Gifford, owner of the RV park.

The campground is conveniently located 300 feet off U.S. Highway 59, and 2 miles south of Interstate 20 for easy-on, easy-off access.

I am always running specials, I furnish fire wood for fire pits, we sometimes cook a  campfire breakfast, or have a karaoke evening. The Park is located in a quiet, secure, and private country setting.

Texas Spoken Friendly

Worth Pondering…
Texas is a state of the mind.

Texas is an obsession.

Above all,

Texas is a nation in every sense of the word.
