RV Trader.com Experiences Record Year in 2013

RV Trader, a division of Dominion Enterprises, experienced a record year in customer growth, online traffic, and marketplace statistics in 2013.

rvtradersite2RV Trader.com reported a record 37 percent growth in unique visitor traffic year-over-year and a 49 percent growth in visitor traffic overall, according to Adobe Omniture analytics.

Additionally, mobile visitor traffic was up 184 percent, while mobile page view traffic saw a substantial growth of 244 percent year-over-year. According to Comscore, RV Trader experienced a 39 percent lift in visitor traffic in 2013, while traffic for the year totaled five times higher than any other online RV classifieds site.

In keeping with RV Trader’s consumer branding initiative of 2013, “Leaving Footprints Across the Country,” the business heavily focused on rally sponsorships, consumer shows, partnerships, increases in social advertising, enhanced email marketing campaigns, and search engine marketing spend. This resulted in a 14 percent growth in private-party ad placement and 110,000 total RVs for sale on the website—a record high.

Additionally, the RV Trader consumer newsletter subscriber base grew 59% year-over-year. Social media channels also experienced significant growth, with Facebook followers up 88 percent year-over-year, Twitter showing an increase of 45 percent, and Pinterest topping the charts at 425 percent growth year-over-year.

Additionally, RV Trader now has over 50 percent of the U.S. RV dealer marketplace live on the site.

rvtraderThe private-party marketplace remains healthy as well, with more ads placed on the site weekly than ever before.

Dealer call volume was also on the rise, with a 40 percent increase in calls placed year-over-year and an increase of 24 percent in total leads placed on the site through enhancements such as “Get Best Price” and “Request Price.”
