Space and weight are precious commodities in a recreation vehicle, and Dometic conserves both without sacrificing functionality or customer comfort with its Slimline RM1350 and RML8330 refrigerators.
The Slimline RM1350, a member of Dometic’s established Elite 2+2 line of refrigerators, contains the star power of the Elite family such as double doors, a divider-free freezer for wall-to-wall cooling and storage space, three crispers, dual-action shelf guards, and through-the-door ice water and optional ice maker, according to a news release.
But, where the Slimline shines, according to Vice President of OEM Sales Dave Schutz, is the one-two punch of a reduced footprint with enhanced performance.
“The 12.3-cubic-foot RM1350 has an all-new extruded cooling fin and a more powerful cooling unit right along with an industry-low 24-inch cut-out depth for increased floor plan flexibility and aftermarket compatibility,” he said.
“And of course, the Slimline has also passed strenuous extreme-condition testing to ensure it maintains Dometic’s standard precision temperature control and dependability.”
If that’s not quite enough for ardent minimalists, Dometic is also introducing the American debut of the RML8330, a super-slim refrigerator that has previously only been available in Europe.
At 4.94 cubic feet inside a 50.9-inch height, 16.5-inch width and 23.5-inch depth unit, Schutz said the RML8330 showcases “unprecedented space maximization” that people will have to see to believe.
Its collection of special features that he said isn’t found on any other unit includes six door bins with a flexible shelving system and an extra deep crisper drawer, a unique PivotPositive latching grab handle, three-way operation and a patented removable freezer for superior flexibility.
Other customer-pleasing features include piezo ignition, a user-friendly hidden control panel and caravan-chic radius door design.
Bringing a unique new model like the RML8330 to the domestic market from a successful forum overseas is just one of the many benefits Dometic gives its customers, according to Schutz, who cited the company’s long-term market presence in over a dozen countries worldwide as an invaluable resource to North American manufacturers and end users alike.
“It’s not a coincidence that Dometic invented the residential refrigerator and absorption technology in the 1920s, or that we’ve made over 10 million refrigerators over the last 90 years,” Schutz stated.
“We’ve literally got the best of all worlds with our elite development teams around the globe, whether it’s compact and lightweight design innovations from Europe or solid construction and exhaustive quality testing here in America.
“There’s a reason Dometic is the leader in RV refrigerators,” he noted.
“I guess I should say, over 10 million reasons.”
