Charter a sailing boat and hop from port to port around the Greek Islands or Outer Hebrides. Enjoy the Fastnet race along England’s southern coast, or just take the family for a water sports holiday. Sailing boats will give you the adventure holiday of your life.
The west coast of Scotland offers a spectacular wilderness that is best visited from a boat. You can see puffins, cormorants, whales, dolphins and visit deep sea lochs. The boat can anchor in a secluded beauty spot overnight or just for dinner.
Charter a boat with a skipper or a full crew for a larger group. Anyone planning to sail a charter boat should have accreditation from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) or equivalent and be able to demonstrate sailing experience. But even with this qualification, a skipper can come along with the charter boat to help you to improve your navigation and boat handling skills. That will count when you emerge from the shelter of the islands and into the open sea. Imagine yourself barrelling along with the tide or anchoring on a rocky shore. Experienced sailors can extend their holidays and sail to the Orkneys, Shetlands and Faroes.
Are you good enough to take part in the annual Fastnet race from Cowes to Ireland via Land’s End and back? If you’re an experienced sailor, you can enroll as crew for a larger boat. You could even hire a race boat yourself and take part.
If not, but you’d still like to watch the action, then you will still have to get stuck in at sea. Sailing is not a spectator sport like football where you can sit in comfort and watch the match. You have to follow events, but you can still do so in comfort.
Arrange sailboat charters for yourself, friends, family and business associates to watch the event close up. The charter boat will come with full crew and refreshments for a large party.
Have the adventure of your life sailing around the Greek islands. One route can take you from Athens to the volcanic island of Santorini. Or sail from Samos to Ikaria in the Eastern Aegean Sea and see where Icarus fell from the sky with his waxen wings.
On some routes you may even sail to the western coast of Turkey and visit Izmir or Bodrum. From the western side of Greece you can sail to Albania, Croatia and across the Adriatic to Venice. You can hire sailing boats up to 50 feet complete with crew for a large party. Or charter a small vessel with a skipper to navigate the Mediterranean waters while you swim or snorkel looking at submerged ancient ruins.
A sailing boat charter holiday offers an opportunity for adventure and relaxation as you wish, anywhere in the world.
