Yellowstone RV Introduces Triple-Slide Canyon Trail Fifth Wheel

Yellowstone RV, a division of Nappanee, Indiana-based Gulf Stream Coach Inc., introduces a new triple-slide Canyon Trail fifth-wheel featuring a stunning new full-height rock wall entertainment center and full-view atrium windows in the spacious rear living room area.

“At 27 feet, the 27FRET captures the retail enthusiasm shown for the famous Canyon Trail 33FRET in a fifth wheel that is not only less expensive to purchase and operate, but lighter, at about 8,900 pounds, and easy to tow, with Canyon Trail’s exclusive short bed front cap and pin box design, said Yellowstone RV National Sales Manager Mike Spencer in a new release.

“Dealers call that a winning formula,” he added.

“Camping couples with a short bed truck can benefit from all the technology and design innovations we’ve pioneered at Yellowstone RV in a unit that’s particularly easy to own and operate.”

“The 27FRET is the perfect platform for our stunning Bayridge Maple or optional Dark Cherry hardwood cabinetry,” said Spencer.

“The full-view atrium windows flood the free-standing dinette table that slides and swivels, a full size leather recliner, a hide-a-bed sofa with reversible cushions, and a brand new rock wall entertainment center that showcases a 32- to 42-inch flat screen HDTV and optional electric fireplace.

“Our exclusive XLT chassis provides slide rooms with 6-foot, 2-inch ceiling height and quarter-inch thick steel headers,” he explained.

The Canyon Trail XLT includes several floor plans which are half ton towable; many with optional bedroom wardrobe slide rooms.

“The master suite has standard wardrobe slide and plenty of walk-around space for the full 60-by-80-inch queen bed; the full size residential kitchen offers optional solid surface countertops; and the deluxe bath features a full height linen closet.”

Construction quality includes 2-inch laminated champagne high-gloss fiberglass walls and a six-sided welded aluminum frame.

Yellowstone also offers an Extreme Weather Protection Package that uses fiberglass, rigid block foam insulation, high-performance reflective thermal foil, and key thermal breaks to provide true all-season camping comfort.

The New XLT chassis also features large basement storage capacity with a unique fold-down bulkhead wall, handy well-lit access to all utilities, a fiberglass front cap and pin box design to provide maneuverability with short bed trucks, and a low, wind-cheating profile for improved handling at highway speeds.

The new Canyon Trail XLT 27FRET will be showcased in the company’s displays at the corner of CR 6 East and Northland Drive in Elkhart and the Gulf Stream Country Club in Nappanee during the September 18-21 Elkhart County RV Open House, according to a new release.
